The KTC (“KALTENBACH Technology Centre”) performed a sawing test on a KBS 1051. The aim of this test was to compare the effect of different saw bands and AFC (“Automatic Feed Control”) on cutting times.
AFC is the patented technology that KALTENBACH uses to achieve fast cutting time, which is explained well in the Video.
The following graph shows cutting times of a bimetal saw band on a KBS 1051 with and without AFC:
The KBS 1051 is also able to work with Carbide saw bands. Thus, the same test has been performed with this kind of saw bands.
The Saw can be integrated with any Kaltenbach Profile Drilling Machine to get the complete Beam Processing Line.
